Small Swingers Lessons - Part 10

How to Throw Your First Swingers Party

Ready to host your first swingers party? Follow these helpful hints to ensure the night runs smoothly for you and your guests.

Get Some Experience

You really shouldn’t be hosting a swinger party if you’re just getting started in the swinging world. It’s important that you’ve already had lots of experience and you’ve seen many scenarios.

Deciding Who to Invite

If you feel you’re ready, think about your guest list. Just couples? Will you allow single men to join in? Also consider how many people you would like to attend. Remember to overbook as you will most likely have some no shows.

Create a Theme

You might want to create a theme for your party such as a masquerade or toga party. There’s also a lot of seasonal themes such as Halloween and New Year’s Eve. Once you’ve picked your themes you can enhance the evening with decorations and suitable music.

Sending Invites and Tracking RSVPs

Start by choosing date – Saturday evenings are best. Then begin inviting swingers you have already met in person or online. You can also post parties on adult dating websites. Start advertising your party at least a month in advance and remember to track your RSVPs. Consider asking guests to bring items like finger food, alcohol, condoms and towels.

Providing Food and Beverages

You’ll want to provide some finger food and alcohol. You cannot charge for it without a license so if the budget is tight, ask guests to bring something. Don’t place the focus too much on drinking as you probably don’t want guests getting too drunk.

Draft Some Rules

Every successful swingers party has some guidelines attached to it. Ask guests to avoid getting drunk and think about banning cameras and video equipment. Make sure guests know that safe sex is mandatory and that violence and rudeness will not be tolerated.

Set the Scene

At a minimum, make sure your house is clean. If you have a hot tub or swimming pool, make sure it is clean and in good working order. Place towels nearby. All beds should have clean sheets. You might also consider creating some private areas around your home as well.

Be a Good Host

One of your jobs as host is to make sure your guests are enjoying themselves. Don’t get so wrapped up in your own good time that you forget about your guests.

Learn for Next Time

You’ll learn a lot from your first swingers party. Afterwards, review what worked and what didn’t so you can host an even better party next time.

Swingers Underground has a new look!

We are pleased to announce that we just launched a new site template!  This is our first step in upgrading Swingers Underground! During the next several months we will be adding some new cool features and launching a mobile optimized version of the site. While these large projects are not fast or easy, they are essential to our long term future.

We are still working on creating workarounds, optimizing code, re-factoring site features, and upgrading hardware and infrastructure. Although you are not seein changes immediately - there is a lot going on in background and we are not just sitting around waiting for someone else to solve all our problems for us. Nor are we doing this all on our own. We hire specialists and most importantly we listen to what our members are saying. So please feel free to send your feedback to us and we will listen!

N'awlins, Is Getting a Little Naughter!

LoveVoodoo.com one of the nations largest swingers web sites is relocating its offices to New Orleans starting Janurary 1st 2012

LoveVoodoo.com is on of the nations fastest growing swingers or "Lifestyle" web sites. When asked if swinging died in the 70's, Todd Crawford the owner of LoveVoodoo said."Not only did it not die, but it is everywhere! The ability to find people on the Internet has blown up the Lifestyle movement. We have over 100,000 active users in the United States alone. Our members' average age is under 35. They are typically well off, concerned about their appearance, and looking to try something new". Todd also explained that while there are plenty of blue color people involved in the Lifestyle, the top three occupations of his members, in order are 1. Teachers, 2. Doctors 3. Law Enforcement. He preferes the use of the term "The Lifestyle" as opposed to Swingers. When people hear the term "Swingers" they think about wife swapping, where "The Lifestyle" is more encompasing and includes people that are into different fetishes or that just want to be in a sexy enviroment but only be intamate with their partner. As it turns out there are hundreds of "Swingers Clubs" legally operating in the United States. Almost every state has one including Louisiana. There are "On Premise" clubs which means, members engage in sexual activities on the property. These are typically private clubs, where members pay an annual membership fee. There are also "Off Premise" clubs which means, sexual activity is not permitted on the property. This is in addition to all of the private parties that swingers have themselves.

LoveVoodoo.com is self described as a "dating site on steroids". Members can create profiles, post photos and email other members. There are also areas for, blogs, and chats. Todd wife and business partner Elena Crawford explained that not only is LoveVooDoo a great place to meet other couples involved in swinging, but it is an excellent resource for anyone interested in the Lifestyle. There is an area where swingers clubs and other members can post parties and other events. There is a section on Swinging 101, and a help section for questions people interested in the Lifestyle may have. LoveVooDoo also has a "Club Locator" that lists every swingers club in North America. All you do is enter a zip code and it returns all the clubs in the surrounding area.

In addtion to their swingers dating site, Todd & Elena also own LoveVoodooTravel.com. LoveVoodoo travel specializes in adult resorts, and cruises. We asked Todd why they decided to move their entire operation to New Orleans. He explained " Elena and I have loved New Orleans for years. We actually came to New Orleans on our second date! Personally we are big Jazz fans, and there is obviously no place better on earth for Jazz than New Orleans. Business wise we like that fact that people from all over the world visit The Big Easy! By making contact with these people here, we hope the will spread the word about LoveVoodoo & LoveVoodoo Travel when they return to their home towns. We have also found that people in New Orleans have a "Live and let Live" attutude towards life. We feel that, regaurdless if New Orlineans agree with us personally,as long as we are not hurting anyone, we are a productive members of the community, and of course pay our taxes!, that we will be welcome when we arrive".

I don't know about you, but all this information is going to make me look twice at people at my next PTA meeting! I agree with Todd, Live and Let Live! Welcome to the Big Easy!
